Parents, students and their guests must comply
with our no street-shoe indoors policy, our hand
washing as you enter policy and all other building
policy at all times.
Birthday celebrations must comply with school policies.
Parents must participate in any and all fund-raising
events put on by the school.
The number of hours spent in front a television
set must be balanced by quality time spent with parents.
Parents should encourage watching programs about
science, history, the arts and world cultures.
Parent workshops hosted by Umoja Learning Circle
are mandatory.
Any disagreement should be resolved in a peaceful
manner. Where needed the assistance of another student
or teacher should be sought.
In class and group discussion, students will respond
or initiate discussion between each other and the
teacher by raising their hands for recognition prior
to speaking.
Students will maintain a decorum of self-control
and mutual respect for each other and teacher.
Students will walk at all times in the building.
Students will keep voices low while conversing.
Students should only use those areas where an adult
is present.
Students must show respect for self, teachers and
classmates.
Students must show respect for teachers by following
instructions the first time they are told.
Students must show respect and care for property
belonging to self, others and Umoja Learning Circle

Student’s Safety
Parents must call in by 10:15am to let us know if their child will not be attending on that day. Students must verbally let teachers know that they have arrived and is leaving the school.
Students must enter and leave the school building accompanied by parents or authorized personnel.
